Boko Haram kills 30 in Gombe blast
No fewer than 30 persons were killed on Friday when a bomb was detonated by some suspected Boko Haram insurgents at a bus terminus in Gombe.
Some residents of the town, who spoke to our correspondent, said the blast occurred at about 9am when the bus terminus was full with travellers.
The residents claimed that about 30 corpses lied at the bus terminus immediately after the explosion
An eyewitness, Ibrahim Issa, said, “It was quite unfortunate that today (Friday) will go down in the history of Gombe as Black Friday as the usually packed full terminus of the state transport authority aka Gombe line was attacked by suspected terrorists. “At about 9 am, an improvised explosive device went off at the park, while passengers were boarding commercial vehicles to various destinations across the country.
“The blast left scores of people dead, with many others sustaining various degrees of injury and 12 vehicles were affected.”
Addressing journalists at the scene of the incident, the Gombe State Commissioner of Police, Kudu Nma, said it was unfortunate that such a thing occurred in the state where peace had always been enjoyed.
Nma could, however, not ascertain the number of casualties at the time of filing this report, but a mortuary attendant with the Specialist Hospital confirmed that 23 bodies were brought from the scene of the incident.
It was also learnt that a body was deposited at the Federal Teaching hospital.
The police commissioner, however, confirmed the arrest of three persons suspected to be masterminds of the attack. The suspects were said to have sneaked into the park in a Volkswagen Sharon bus, with the inscription Yobe line on it.
When our correspondent visited the state Specialist hospital, tension rose as many people
Star Says He Shows Off To Keep Fans Motivated
Wizkid has addressed accusations that he shows off his wealth via social media like a lot of Nigerian celebrities do.
The star said that he has hustled for all he owns and so he shows fans his gold watches and necklaces to keep them motivated.
According to Vanguard, Wizkid said in a chat with Matinee:
“I don’t show off my wealth on the social media. Most of the things I have acquired in life, I never had them before I started hustling. So, now that I have them, I need to show people that these are the things I have gotten from my hustle.”
“When I started, I wasn’t wearing gold necklaces and wrist watches. So, when I buy these pieces of jewelry, I display them for my fans to get them motivated.”
Wizkid has in recent times come under a lot of fire after being involved in feuds with Davido, Saeon and SamKlef.

Rapper Says There’s A Man In Her Life
Weird MC has said that any plans of marriage on her part are in God’s hands and that she has a man in waiting.
The rapper also spoke out on her career, her dress sense and the biggest mistake she has made as a musician.
Weird MC, whose real name is Adesola Adesimbo Idowu, spoke in an interview with Vanguard.
Excerpts below:
Nothing much has been heard from you in recent times?
I am actually in the studio recording my latest songs. We have actually shot a video for one of the new songs. We are editing right now.
What would you say was the greatest mistake you have made as a singer?
I think as a musician, the moment you stepped into the spotlight, you have lost your right to privacy. That’s the only thing I can say on this matter. I am a very, very private person, but now, I have lost it to the public.
Why are you always described as a controversial singer?
I don’t know why. Sometimes, when you are different and unique, people tend to put you in a box. I don’t think I am controversial at all. I am just like everybody else. Well, that’s part of the price I have to pay as a public figure.
What’s one funny thing that has happened to you on stage?
I was performing in Lekki. Then I used to wear two rings and it happened that somebody held my hand and was dragging one of my rings from my finger. I was resisting him, but at point, I allowed him to take the ring because I didn’t want him to hurt me. It pained me because the ring was very expensive.

Taking tips from Kim Kardashian? Lara Bingle appears to model the reality queen as she steps out in strikingly similar outfit
She's a front row regular at catwalk shows and has even designed her own clothing range.
But Lara Bingle seemed to have modelled her sartorial style on another designer diva when she stepped out in Sydney on Thursday.
Dressed in a skin-tight nude tank top and army green skirt, the stylish blonde, 27, looked to have been borrowing fashion tips from reality television queen Kim Kardashian, who wore a strikingly similar getup just two months earlier.
The most famous member of the Kardashian clan, 33, had jaws dropping in August when she was spotted in a flesh-coloured top that much like Lara's, almost exactly matched her skin tone.
The stretchy material clung so tightly to the socialite's frame that at a passing glance she may have been mistaken as topless.
