Do bored teenage daughters get a pardon too? Sasha and Malia can't hide their disdain as Obama saves turkeys from the slaughterhouse

Obama

A luxury Washington D.C. hotel, which has hosted almost every U.S. president since Franklin Pierce, has welcomed two of its most unusual guests yet - a pair of 50lb turkeys. The male birds - named Mac and Cheese - traveled nine hours on Monday by car from their home in Ohio to their lavish $350 custom-suite at the Willard InterContinental, complete with a flat screen TV, mini bar and wood shaving pit. But the journey wasn't in vain - on Wednesday afternoon the gobblers will meet President Obama as they vie for the title of National Thanksgiving Turkey - meaning the more beauty sleep they got the better.
Could we BE anymore bored? The president obviously enjoys the annual Thanksgiving turkey pardon, but his daughters looked like they would rather be anywhere else

Why are you all laughing? He isn't funny!: President Obama honored the gobbler during a traditional pardoning ceremony at the White House on Wednesday afternoon, while Sasha and Malia did their best to laugh at his jokes

Is it over? Come on dad!: The President's daughters dressed in festive colors as they stood by for the turkey pardoning ceremony

Bored stiff? However, the two teenage girls appeared particularly underwhelmed by the affair

And it was a resounding ‘yes, he will’ as the tennis star finally became engaged to his girlfriend – nine years after they first met.
He proposed to Kim Sears, 26, last week with a diamond ring he chose himself and she immediately said ‘yes’.

Murray, 27, who flew to the Philippines for a tennis tournament yesterday, had not even shared his happy news with some of his closest family members.
The sportsman’s mother Judy said last night that she was ‘thrilled’, but his grandmother said she had heard only ‘rumours’.
