Australia says goodbye to Phillip Hughes: Hundreds of mourners including bowler who delivered fatal ball attend cricketer's funeral

Hundreds have packed into the high school hall at Macksville, New South Wales, to bid farewell to Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes. At his mother Virginia's request, Hughes was placed in a dark wooden coffin with a gold plaque and topped with white flowers, his favourite colour. The hearse circled his hometown, before arriving at Macksville High School where the service was held. Australia's cricketers, including the bowler who delivered the fatal ball, Sean Abbott, (left) arrived at the funeral wearing dark sunglasses and black suits. Captain Michael Clarke and Hughes' sister Megan (right) spoke at the service.

Acclaimed travel and nature photographer Peter Adams, from the Cotswolds, travelled thousands of miles to document the varied surfaces of the planet. From high above, Yellowstone's Grand Prismatic Spring looks like an alien volcano, tourists look like ants next to a magnificent waterfall in Iceland, and glaciers look like a series of streams as they carve through the ground below.

Daredevil naturalist who allowed himself to be swallowed alive by an anaconda so he could film INSIDE the creature reveals he was more scared for the animal's safety than his own



Naturalist Paul Rosolie was eaten alive by an anaconda in the Amazon last summer, wearing a specially-designed suit that let him survive the incident. The dangerous student will air on the Discovery Channel this Sunday at 9pm ET. Rosolie says he took part in the stunt in order to raise awareness of the snake's habitat, which is being impacted by gold mining.

The Gold Coast woman took two bites before she tasted fur in the rice paper roll she allegedly bought from Woolworths. The store has denied any involvement. The mother did not initially notice the tail sticking out one end of the $5.50 'summer chicken' roll. The woman's daughter Emilie Petrusic told the Gold Coast Bulletin : 'It's like it's been planted because they hand-make those things - how can a whole animal be inside it?'
