Time For Nigeria To Start Leading Africa Again

Many have congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan, some have labeled him a hero for conceding defeating, thereby averting what would have been a major crisis in the country. In some other African countries like Burundi, the people are yet to recover from protests that turned bloody following the president’s decision to contest for a third term.
According to Naij.com contributor, Adedayo Ademuwagun, with the president-elect, Muhammadu taking over power on May 29, it is time for Nigeria to start leading the African continent again.

Boko Haram is a terrorist organization with its roots in northeastern Nigeria, linked to insurgency stemming from north Cameroon and Niger Republic. "Boko Haram" is a Hausa name which translates roughly as "Western education is forbidden," while the real Arabic name translates as "The Congregation of the People of Tradition for Proselytism and Jihad". The sect was founded in 2002 by the late Mohammed Yusuf who was captured and executed by Nigerian security forces in 2009.

The Miss Nigeria USA 2015 pageant took place at the Alvin Ailey Theater, in New York City, America, last night.
Nigerian singer, Banky W, amongst other celebrities who grace the pageant, performed at the event.
The contestants for this year are 18 in number with ages ranging from 18-28 and are all Nigerian but based in the US.
The pageant was founded in 2014, with the aim of celebrating the Nigerian woman while appreciating the beauty, talent, skills and other unique attributes and goals she exhibits.
The Miss Nigeria USA Pageant Event contestants will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their physical, cultural and intellectual attributes as a goodwill ambassador is chosen.
The winner of the pageant will be representing Miss Nigeria USA Pageant and Nigeria as a whole on a positive limelight.
The Miss Nigeria Pageant provides a unique opportunity for females of Nigerian Heritage who are between the ages of 18-28.
The competition displays the richness and cultural ethnic values of the Nigerian Community in that the contestants will be showcasing tradition attires from their different ethnic backgrounds.
