Adult son beheads his mother on the street then throws himself in front of a train in horrific Long Island murder suicide

A woman was decapitated by a man before he took his own life Tuesday evening in Long Island, local media reported. Law enforcement officials told NBC New York the female victim's body was discovered in front of a Farmingdale, New York apartment building. The woman was reportedly in her 60s, officials told the affiliate station. The man is possibly the son of the decapitated woman, and allegedly put himself in the path of a Long Island Rail Road train, officials told NBC New York. Twitter user Mansha Chugh claimed she was one of the train's passengers, The Huffington Post reported. 'The LIRR train I am in accidentally struck an unauthorized person on the track,' she wrote. 'Waiting for an update from the police and the emd's. #sosad.' The LIRR issued multiple notices to riders on its Twitter page Tuesday evening, noting service changes and cancelled trains, WPIX pointed out. One of the messages read, 'Ronkonkoma Branch suspended due to unauthorized person on tracks struck by train. Personnel on scene working to restore service ASAP.'
