Every time David Cameron returned to his Oxfordshire family home after a day on the Election campaign trail, four-year-old daughter Florence greeted him with the same question: ‘Have you won the ’lection yet, Daddy?’
Each time, he would reply: ‘No Flo, no ’lection victory yet.’
On Friday morning, when the result of the most dramatic British Election in decades was finally clear and the Camerons were back in their Downing Street apartment, the ecstatic PM picked up his daughter, embraced her and said: ‘We’ve won the ’lection Flo, we’ve won!’
‘Hooray!’ she shouted.
