Edo Frat War Cultists bury 'fallen soldier'

The deployment of a federal crack squad ordered by the Inspector General Police, Mr Solomon Arase, has brought an uneasy calm to Edo State.
This is considering the streets of Edo State were littered with bullet-ridden and butchered corpses of youths in the state. The groups involved in the latest war are Eiye, Black Axe, and Maphite groups.

But even with the police presence, some of the cult groups have started burying their own, which they call “fallen soldiers” or “victim of war.”

Members of the Supreme Eiye Confraternity (Bird men), who are famous for wearing blue berets, were recently pictured, burying one of their members in Benin City.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that one of the state government officials that were arrested on Wednesday, May 13, by the federal crack squad deployed by the IG to curb the senseless killings in the state is Engr. David Olukoga.

Olukoga, 46, is the Chairman, Edo State Committee on War Against Indiscipline and Senior Special Assistant on Youth Enhancement to the state governor. Several of the cultists were seen wearing the War Against Indiscipline (WAI) vests along with their blue berets.

A few days ago, officers of the Edo State Police Command arrested eleven cultists, including four state government officials suspected to be leaders of different cult groups in the state.
