Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been sentenced to death on Friday, May 15.
A US jury decided that Tsarnaev, 21, deserves to die for his role in the April 2013 bombing.
The decision was made after 14 hours of deliberations on whether the Tsarnaev should get a life imprisonment or death sentence, considering he was a teenager when he carried out the attack.
He carried out the attack alongside his brother, Tamerlan.
According to AP, Tsarnaev did not react when the sentence was read out.
He was convicted of 30 federal charges last month, of which 17 carried possible death penalty.
More than 260 people were injured and three killed at Boston marathon on April 15, 2013 when two pressure-cooker bombs packed with shrapnel exploded near the marathon finish line
The two brother also killed a police officer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology days later.
