Racing driver Lewis Hamilton runs out of fuel while taking part in the Gumball 3000 rally a week after finishing third in Monaco Grand Prix

He was spotted filling up a supercar at a petrol station in Death Valley later in the day after another participant allegedly came to the rescue.

Preparation: Lewis joined the race in the final stage from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and was prepped by two men before he started

Lewis is yet to comment on the rally on social media. 
The event, which started on May 23 in Stockholm, initially passed through Norway, Denmark and Amsterdam. 
Drivers were then flown to Reno, in Nevada, to continue with the second stage.

Bling: Lewis made sure he looked his best as he arrived at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas at the end of the rally

From there, they continued to San Francisco and Los Angeles before ending in Sin City on Saturday.
Lewis joined fellow celebrities including David Hasselhoff and model Tyson Beckford on the road. 
They were later pictured at the end of the event at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.
