'They won't understand our love': Man hides transgender girlfriend from his family because he fears they'll 'take the mickey' when they discover she was born a man

Dale Brink, 23, and Hannah Whetton, 21, from Doncaster, met on a night out before she underwent gender reassignment surgery and 'immediately clicked'. Hannah, who defied bullies to start taking female hormones at the age of 16, said: 'We have nothing to be ashamed of and nothing to hide. I spent the first 16 years of my life hiding, I don't want to do it any more.'
