Rio Ferdinand (left with late wife Rebecca) has slashed the sale price of his seven-bed Cheshire home (right) by £1.5million barely a month after the death of his wife.
The former England and Manchester United captain shared the mansion with his wife Rebecca and their three children and put it on the market last July for £4.5million. But the house, in the exclusive village of Alderley Edge, is now up for grabs for £3million. Ferdinand, who retired from football at the end of this season, is reportedly desperate to sell the mansion because it holds painful memories of happier times with his late wife.
