Five men who posed as officers from the anti-narcotic department on the Indian Police Force have been arrested forgang-raping two women at a flat in Anjuna beach village in North Goa, reports the Indian Times.
In a country where rape has become the order of the day, the women who are aged 22 and 30, were on holiday in the town when they hired a taxi to go to Anjuna beach. On their way, the men stopped the cab all dressed in a police uniforms.
According to the reports, all the five accused, Ajaykumar Kushwaha, Jeevan Pawar, Nadeem Khan, Trebor Joseph and Kamlesh Chaudhary, have been charged with gang-rape, kidnapping and robbery.
