Nigerian Football Coach Amuneke tells young footballers to seek education

Golden Eaglets' Head Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, had advised aspiring footballers to take their education serious even as they build a footballing career.

Amuneke, an E-Super Eagles star, gave the advice while addressing young Nigerian children showing off their skills at theNFF/FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja where the Golden Eaglets' technical crew is talent hunting ahead of the 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

"In fact, it would be good if some of you can face your education squarely," Amuneke said.

"Again, for those of you who can play football, you still have to go to school so that you can be useful when you can no longer play football and that is the truth we owe you people."

Amuneke, who won the 1994 African Footballer of the Year Award., had an illustrious career with the Nigerian senior team.
