Patricide 39-yr-old man in prison for killing his father

A 39-year-old man, Musa Jatto, has been remanded at the Agodi Prison, Ibadan, Oyio State, for allegedly killing his 57-year-old father, Abdullahi Jatto.

The remand was at the instance of the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in the ancient city, presided over by Chief Magistrate Kehinde Durosaro-Tijani  on Monday, June 8, 2015, pending receipt of legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), and adjourned the case till July 6 for mention.

The prosecutor, Cpl. Folake Ewe, had told the court that the Jatto, on May 25 at 5.30 am, murdered his father with a machete by linflicting severe cuts on his neck.

Ewe said that the severe cut sustained by the elderly Jatto led to his death at his residence at Adeoje Estate, Apata, Ibadan.
