Horrific pictures show young Indonesian woman sobbing as she is caned in public for having sex outside marriage - then carried off on a stretcher after she collapsed

The young woman was brought to the public stage in Banda Aceh and forced on to her knees before being repeatedly whipped by cane as a punishment for having sex outside of marriage. The punishment was handed out under the Indonesian province's strict Sharia laws. The woman was then seen crying out in agony and clenching her fists and when the caning was over, was carried from the stage on a stretcher, inset.
