'Have a nice day!' Two convicted murderers leave note for police after using power tools and a series of tunnels to escape maximum-security prison in New York

Convicted murderers escape maximum-security prison in upstate New York using power tools

David Sweat (bottom left), 34, and Richard Matt (bottom right), 48, escaped the Clinton Correctional Facility (pictured) in Dannemora, New York between 10.30pm Friday and 5.30am Saturday by using power tools to cut through a steel wall, leading them through a series of tunnels until they reached a manhole (top right) outside prison walls, police said.
A manhunt including more than 200 law-enforcement officers is underway in hopes of finding the men - the first inmates to escape the maximum security part of the prison.
