MARIAH CAREY’S REP DEFENDS “ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU” PERFORMANCE, SAYS VOICE HEARD ON SHOCKING ISOLATED TRACK ISN’T CAREY’S
We know that Mariah Carey has been having some issues with her voice lately. Specifically, she was widely criticized for her performance of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” for Christmas In Rockefeller Center, and the tree lighting ceremony that is part of it. She sounded a bit off during the performance that we saw, and she sounded way off when the isolated vocals from that performance leaked. Without the musical accompaniment, background singers and noise from the audience, she just couldn’t seem to hit those high notes we’re used to hearing, and simply sounded out of breath and out of it at times. The New York Daily News’ ‘Confidential’ section reported last week that Carey’s camp blamed NBC producers for that leak of the isolated vocals, and they

MASE
I had the biggest crush on Mase after that Harlem World album came out in 1997. Who didn’t? But by 1999, Mase was having a change of heart about the whole rap thing. After releasing his sophomore album, Double Up, Mase revealed to Funkmaster Flex that he was retiring from the rap game to pursue a calling from God. He went on to become a pastor, and did that until 2012 as pastor and founder of El Elyon International Church and Mason Betha Ministries. Once he decided to return to rap, he says he realized that he might have jumped the gun trying to be a pastor so soon, but his faith is still strong:
John Legend & Chrissy Teigen Sent Food Trucks To Hungry Eric Garner Protesters
Grammy winner John Legend and his model wife Chrissy Teigen gave the gift of grub to New York City protesters, who continue to be out in full force over the grand jury decision in the choking death of Eric Garner and police brutality across the country. The couple paid for food trucks to deliver food to hungry supporters. For three hours yesterday, Kimchi Taco served up Korean BBQ free of charge. Classy move on their part. Thumbs up on this.
THE REASON WHY VIOLA DAVIS WON’T BE WEARING A SUIT ON HTGAWM
From StyleBlazer
If Olivia Pope is any indication, we have a feeling that Annalise Keating’s (Viola Davis) wardrobe on “How To Get Away With Murder” will start to get noticed as well. And judging from the first few episodes (body-conscious dresses, fitted leather, nonexistent suits), Annalise’s fashion mirrors her personality: dark, mysterious and sultry. We recently spoke with Linda Bass, costume designer for “How To Get Away With Murder,” on selecting Annalise and the rest of the cast’s looks on the show and what we can expect from the rest of the season (she was pretty tight-lipped!) In the meantime, we’re excited about to see what else is in store for Annalise and the rest of the cast as their characters (and closets) develop.
